38mm Lectron Carb

So here is the latest addition to my project. 38mm Lectron With metering rods #1, #2, #4, #5 and one in the carb that I have not seen yet because I have not done a break down on it yet but, I'm hoping that it is a #3. Anyway the backing plate is cast aluminum and says Lectron / Harley Davidson and the manifold says HD Lectron on it. Came with the throttle cable and all. Of course ebay for about $110 bucks. I hope this will be streetable (checking with Paul Gast) for my 63 XLCH. If not I have a 58 XLCH motor that will become a KH styled flat tracker and running the Lectron.

Art Saturday

I'm gonna start putting up some art that I have lifted of the net or gather from various places on Saturdays. I was up at 5 am this morning without the alarm or my son waking me up. It's the time I get up through the week so I guess my body decided Saturday was going to work as well. Anywho back to Art. Here is some neato stuff from the past few years. I will try to give credit cause that is what it's all about but if I don't please let me know and I will take care of it...enjoy.

Stainless Steel elevator Lobby

This is a job I'm doing for the University of Texas here in Austin. It is the first floor elevator lobby at the new administration building. 16 GA. #4 wall panels, headers, jambs, transoms and 11 Ga. baseboard. The panels have a "Nickle Seam" (.080) with 20 GA. behind the open seam. It has been a little trying due to sub-par carpentry but it is looking good so far. I will post final pics when I get the corner guard and last two sections of base done.

Drag Trump...Righteousness!

Does it get any better than this? I think I got this from COC.

Happy New Year Everybody!

Another year gone but not forgotten. Did I get as much done this year as I wanted? No. The XLCH is still a long way off and my motovation is unstable at best. My motovation for anything has plummeted to an all time low, with the exception of work and raising a family. I vow here before the blogging world to make a better effort to post and update better. Some of my lack of motovation comes from a growing disgust of the motorcycle industry and all the chopper stuff. I have become tired of The Horse BC's and the Jockey Journal, etc. And find myself turning to more blogs and overseas influnces then ever before. I have enjoyed the Denver Dans, Chopper Daves and Jeff Wrights of this world alot lately because it is a way of life for these guys and not just something to pass the time. You see it in their work and read it in their words. There is alot of dedication out there, it's just hard to find sometimes.

Queen Bee update

I have not done much or posted much at all. Still just mocking up and waiting for the engine guy (get well Ben) to start the engine review. There is alot I can do and I have been putting it off. Not sure about these bars. I will make a set of candy cane drags with a 7" rise and got to get to work on the tank mods.

A little mock up

Got the frontend on and man is that 6 or 8 over fork tubes!? I have the 2 over on order and that should bring things down a bit but still have a little kick. Need to make a race for the neck cause I want to run that XL/FX frontend and it is a 7/8" neck stem but the frame is a 1" neck. Yeah more work...alot more.
